I’ve been a keen cyclist for about 20 years, initially riding mountain bikes.  The last few years I’ve progressively moved to the road, enjoying a new challenge and a healthy obsession with all things bikes!

In recent years, I’ve developed a strange fascination for cycling up mountains, whenever or wherever this is possible.  Difficult to explain but the satisfaction is immense when reaching the summit and the scenery is usually breathtaking.

I sometimes ride with the Boldmere Bullets with one of the many and well organised Saturday groups and also race club  Time Trials for Royal Sutton CC.

Looking for a new  challenge in life from a career as a Mechanical Engineer in the automotive field, I decided to combine my passion for cycling with a new vocation.  I am also a qualified cycle mechanic (Cytech level 3 – including wheel building, suspension, hydraulics & Di2 electronic shifting) and have been putting these skills to good use for the last 6 years.
